Freez Gymea was established in March 1993 with a vision to sell the latest fashion trends, offer an extensive range with impressive styles that were affordable and uncompromising in quality. Jannali was opened in February 1997 and quickly followed the success of its counterpart. Following on from the huge success of the stores the Freez Online Store was launched in October 2007 instantly finding a niche market. In April 2010 another store was opened in Helensburgh.

Over the years the Freez Clothing Stores have won many Small Business Awards in the Fashion Categories of the Gymea Chamber of Commerce and St George and Sutherland Shire Leader Small Business Awards. In 2010 the Freez Online Store was nominated for an Industry Recognition Award in the inaugural Online Retail Industry Awards. In September 2010 Freez came 15th in the Smart Company Top 50 Awards. In October 2010 Freez Gymea was a finalist in the Sutherland Shire Leader Small Business Awards.
